ISD Compliance Program

Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) In-Station Diagnostics (ISD) September 1, 2010 Deadline

All gas stations with underground tanks with gasoline throughputs of more than 600,000 gallons per year must install an In-Station Diagnostics (ISD) system by the September 1, 2010 deadline.

Non-complying gas stations that are required to install ISD by the September 1, 2010 deadline, but will not complete installation by the deadline can continue to operate while working towards compliance provided the owner/operator enters into an ISD Compliance Agreement/Schedule with the District.  The Compliance Agreement will require the owner/operator to achieve compliance no later than March 1, 2011.

  • To participate in the ISD Compliance Program, start by downloading an ISD Compliance Agreement (261 k PDF, 7 pgs) and fill-in completely.

  • Refer to the ISD Compliance Agreement Instructions (17 k PDF, 1 pg) for assistance filling-out the Agreement.

  • Send your completed Compliance Agreement and required penalty payment to the District as detailed in the Agreement.Failure to meet the deadline or to continue operating without a Compliance Agreement fully executed by you and the District will subject you to station closure.
  • Refer to the District's August 31, 2010 ISD Compliance Advisory (82 k PDF, 2 pgs) for more information about how to participate in the ISD Compliance Agreement program, and the methods to achieve compliance.
