Air Quality Fact

When the weather is warm and stagnant, high concentrations of ozone can form. Ground level ozone irritates the lungs and is unhealthy to breathe, especially for people with repiratory problems, children, the elderly, and anyone who exercises outdoors.

2009 Incident Reports

Occasionally, a facility will have a significant accidental release of air contaminants, or an air pollution event will occur within the District, in which the District believes there is a general public interest. As soon as sufficient information is available, District staff will prepare a preliminary incident report. These reports are intended to provide an early overview to the incident, and do not substitute for the in-depth investigation which ultimately follows.
