Brad was elected as a member of the Napa
County Board of Supervisors representing District One in 1998. For
the past 29 years Brad has been a school teacher. He spent the first
10 years teaching emotionally disturbed adolescents and for the
last 19 years he has been teaching social studies at Redwood Middle
School in Napa.
Brad graduated from a local high school in Napa and went on to
graduate from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree
in Political Science and Elementary Education. Brad has split his
life with community service since 1984. During that time he has
served on the Napa City Council, has served as Mayor to the City
of Napa and was elected to the Napa County Board of Supervisors
in 1998.
Brad is involved in many local committees including the Children
and Families Commission (Prop. 10), Child Care Taskforce, Farm Worker
Housing, Housing Trust Fund, Housing Authority Regional Bay Air
Quality Management District, California State Association of Counties
Board of Directors, Local Agency Formation Commission, Napa County
Transportation Planning Commission, San Francisco Bay Conservation
& Development Commission, Napa County Parks and Open Space Advisory
Committee and the County Medical Services Program.
Brad lives in Napa with his three children: Gretchen, 24; Fritz,
15 and Max 14.
