The Air District is pleased to announce that a competitive solicitation for electric charging infrastructure to support heavy- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment is now open. Up to $30 million in funding is available under this solicitation. 80 percent of funds are reserved for projects that reduce emissions in priority communities, including AB617 communities, disadvantaged and low-income communities.

Eligible project types include electric charging infrastructure that supports private and publicly accessible:
- Heavy-duty trucks, transit, and school buses
- Off-road equipment, such as:
- Agricultural tractors and equipment
- Construction equipment
- Transportation Refrigeration Units
- Forklifts
- Cargo Handling Equipment
- Ground Support Equipment
- Other applicable off-road equipment
- Locomotives and Marine equipment
