The Air District is announcing the launch of the Charge! The Air District has awarded $1.18 million grant to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District to replace seven older school buses, five compressed natural gas buses and two diesel buses with zero-emission electric buses and the charging infrastructure to support them. The project will also support the installation of eight DC fast chargers and related infrastructure.

The Air District’s Community Advisory Council will hold its first meeting January 13 at 6 PM. In a historic moment, the Air District Board of Directors approved the formation of the Air District’s first Community Advisory Council on November 17, 2021. The Community Advisory Council will advise the Air District’s Board of Directors on environmental justice and equity-based policy and is the first body of its kind at the Bay Area Air District.
