The Air District has awarded a loan guarantee to King Solarman, a provider of smart solar generators in California. Their products replace loud and aging diesel generators used for mobile light towers and surveillance stations.

The  Air District has opened the application period for the Carl Moyer grant program, to reduce ozone-forming and toxic air emissions from older heavy-polluting diesel equipment. Eligible diesel-powered equipment includes medium- and heavy-duty trucks, mobile agricultural and construction equipment, marine vessels, and locomotives.
