View a list of facilities required under the Air District’s Facility Risk Reduction Program to undergo facility-wide health risk assessments, or HRAs, and, if found to be above a specified risk action level, to implement risk reduction measures on significant sources of health risk.

Today, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s Board of Directors approved the allocation of $20 million dollars to help fund the electrification of the Caltrain corridor. 

The Air District is announcing the availability of $20 million dollars to fund equipment replacement and supportive infrastructure projects for the Proposition 1B Goods Movement Program. Funds will be used to assist owners of diesel-fueled equipment that moves freight in California’s major trade corridors. Applications are due by January 15, 2021.

The Air District is issuing a Spare the Air Alert for tomorrow, Friday, December 20, which bans burning wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel, both indoors and outdoors.

The Air District has issued 18 Notices of Violation to MRC for violations of air quality regulations and/or permit conditions for the February 1 fire. This is an ongoing investigation, and more violations may be issued.

Due to continued heavy smoke moving into the Bay Area from the Camp Fire in Butte County, the Air District is extending the Winter Spare the Air Alert through Tuesday, November 20.

The Air District’s Executive Officer Jack Broadbent recently announced his plans to retire after more than 18 years as head of the agency.

Today the Air District's Board of Directors unanimously adopted Regulation 11-18, Reduction of Risk from Air Toxic Emissions at Existing Facilities, considered to be the most health-protective toxic air pollution risk control measure in the nation.
