The Air District is accepting applications for grant funding for projects that reduce toxic air emissions and ozone-forming pollutants from older, polluting diesel engines through the Community Health Protection Grant Program.

The grant application period opens March 12 and will remain open through May 29, 2026.

This funding comes from penalties collected from industry and businesses that violate Air District regulations. The Air District is convening a community workgroup to inform development and implementation of our new Particle Fallout Sampling Program for refinery communities. We are looking for people who live or work near the Chevron, Marathon, MRC, Phillips 66, and Valero refineries, or who represent organizations and environmental groups that serve these communities.
