The Air District has awarded a loan guarantee to King Solarman, a provider of smart solar generators in California. Their products replace loud and aging diesel generators used for mobile light towers and surveillance stations.

The Air District is hosting the Clean Cars for All electric vehicle showcase on Saturday, August 10, in Oakland.

The Air District is working with the West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project and the West Oakland Health Council, through the Clean Air Filtration Program, to provide portable air filtration units to low-income residents of West Oakland diagnosed with a respiratory illness.

The Air District is hosting a series of open houses to present potential new control measures and strategies that may be included in the 2016 Clean Air Plan/Regional Climate Protection Strategy, and proposed revisions to Regulation 2, Rule 5, New Source Review of Toxic Air Contaminants.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is holding an open house in Richmond this Thursday to present and get public input on potential new control measures and strategies that may be included in the 2016 Clean Air Plan/Regional Climate Protection Strategy.

The Air District, in partnership with community members, has released the Path to Clean Air, a Richmond-San Pablo community air monitoring plan – the first to be developed with co-leadership from the community.
