Statement by Jack Broadbent, executive officer of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, on President Donald Trump’s decision to dismantle the Clean Power Plan:
“In the wake of record-breaking wildfires and hurricanes that have decimated the U.S., the Trump administration has announced a directive today to order the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to rewrite the Clean Power Plan and jeopardize hard-fought climate gains. The effects of climate change are being realized worldwide as global temperatures rise and catastrophic weather patterns escalate."
