Permit Renewal Overview

For eligible facilities, the Air District’s online permitting system gives regulated industry the ability to submit permit applications, renew permits, update facility information, and access permit documents. If your facility is eligible for renewal through the online permitting system, you can follow the instructions for renewing your permit below.

Before you start the renewal process

Please take a moment to review and verify the following information on the Facility page:

  • Each facility has a designated owner contact, operator contact, and billing contact. Verify that this information (contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email) is correct, and update if needed.
  • Review the Device List and verify that all devices are still in operation and should be renewed. If any devices have been dismantled or permanently removed from your operation and should not be included in this renewal, submit a completed Shutdown Form to have your renewal invoice recalculated.

How to renew your permit

Once the facility renewal invoice has been issued, payment can be made by the following methods:

  • Credit Card – Pay online using all major credit/debit cards. Subject to a 2.95% service fee.
  • eCheck/Bank Account – Pay online using a bank checking or savings account.
  • Manual – Pay via mail  with a money order, personal, or business check.

  • Withholding of your facility’s renewed Permit to Operate
  • Issuance of a Notice to Comply (NTC)
  • Issuance of a Notice of Violation (NOV) and any applicable fines
  • Revocation of your facility’s Permit to Operate
