Learn about the Air District's development process for Regulation 6, Rule 7, which is part of a set of amendments and new rules under consideration that would reduce emissions of particulate matter from various commercial and industrial operations.

The Air District is implementing a $14 million grant program to promote electric vehicle adoption in the Bay Area. This funding is available to both public and private entities to encourage turnover of their fleets to electric vehicles.

The Air District will host an in-person conversation with Air District Board Chair Davina Hurt on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 12 noon – 1 PM at the Alum Rock Public Library in the Alum Rock Community Room. The conversation will focus on community questions and concerns regarding air quality issues and climate change.

The conversation will focus on community questions and concerns regarding air quality issues and climate change. 

Beginning December 7, 2021, the Air District’s Charge! program will begin accepting applications to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing and installing new publicly available electric vehicle charging stations throughout the region. The goal of the Charge! program is to help build a charging network able to support the Bay Area’s electric vehicle adoption goals of 90 percent of the overall vehicle fleet by 2050. 

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory due to smoke from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest through Friday, August 7.
