The Air District is advising Bay Area residents that smoke from the Loma Fire may be impacting Santa Clara County. Light winds blowing south-easterly have transported smoke from the fire into southern Santa Clara County, creating localized impacts.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is advising Bay Area residents of the possibility that smoke from the Soberanes Fire may, at times, impact Santa Clara County this weekend.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for smoke for the Bay Area through tomorrow, Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Northerly winds near the Ranch Fire in Tehama County south of Redding will allow some smoke to move toward the Bay Area. The smoke is expected to continue to cause hazy skies and potentially elevated hourly air quality readings for fine particulates today and tomorrow, but air quality is not expected to exceed the federal health standard.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke for the Bay Area tomorrow, Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  Northerly winds near the Ranch Fire in Tehama County south of Redding will allow some smoke to move toward the Bay Area. The Air District has issued the following prescribed burn notice effective October 17 -24, 2025.

The Air District, California Air Resources Board and San Francisco Department of Emergency Management announced today the launch of the state’s first Clean Air Center in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood in San Francisco. In the coming weeks, more than 300 Clean Air Centers will be available throughout the Bay Area, when air quality is poor due to wildfires.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke for the entire Bay Area region on Sunday, October 27 through Monday, October 28.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory through Thursday, August 9, in the Bay Area. The Bay Area may experience smoke impacts from the Mendocino Complex Fire and other wildfires.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke for the far South Bay, including Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy through Monday, July 6. Beginning late Saturday, the Park Fire broke out east of Morgan Hill. Air quality impacts are possible near the fire.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke east of Rodeo, along the Carquinez Strait.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for smoke for the far South Bay, including Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy through Tuesday, July 7. Beginning late Saturday, the Park Fire broke out east of Morgan Hill, and on Sunday, the larger Crews Fire started east of Gilroy. Air quality impacts are possible near the fires.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for Wednesday, July 15, due to smoke from the Mineral Fire that started Monday evening in Fresno County. Smoke from the fire is expected to impact the Bay Area starting tomorrow morning when winds are predicted to shift, bringing smoke into the South Bay and moving north later Wednesday. Smoke will likely remain aloft, resulting in smoky, hazy skies but ground-level air quality is not expected to be impacted. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory beginning Friday, August 3, through the weekend in the Bay Area. The Bay Area will likely experience smoke impacts from the Mendocino Complex Fire and other wildfires. 

The Air District is issuing a smoke advisory for the North and East Bay areas, today Monday, October 16, 2017. Unhealthy air quality from the wildfires continues to plague the North Bay counties. Due to active wildfires and changing wind patterns, air quality throughout the Bay Area could be impacted for many days to come. Outside of the active fire areas, air quality will be variable and unpredictable.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is lifting the Health Advisory & Spare the Air Alert due to significantly improved air quality conditions from favorable wind patterns and increased fire containment. However, unhealthy air quality will still be present in the immediate vicinity of actively burning fires.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for smoke for the far South Bay, including Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy, through Wednesday, July 8. On Tuesday, smoke from the Crews Fire east of Gilroy continues to impact air quality in southern Santa Clara Valley. 

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is extending an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke from the Sites Fire, located in western Colusa County, through Thursday, June 20. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from fires around the Bay Area for Friday, October 18. Smoke from wildfires including the Keller Fire in the East Bay may impact air quality in parts of the Bay Area Friday. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. 

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke through Monday, August 29. Smoke from the Rum Creek Fire in southwest Oregon and the Six Rivers Lightning Complex Fire in northwest California is expected to impact the Bay Area through Monday. Elevated air pollution levels are likely. However, pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour standard, and a Spare the Air Alert is not in effect. Smoky, hazy skies will be visible and the smell of smoke is expected to be present within the Bay Area.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Pedro Fire, east of Modesto, for Wednesday, July 31. Smoke from the Pedro Fire is expected to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area on Wednesday. Hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible at high elevations. Air quality is expected to be in the Moderate category on the Air Quality Index.
