The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke through Monday, August 21. Smoke from numerous fires in Northern California and the Plant Fire in Southern California is expected to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area on Sunday and Monday, causing air quality to reach low-moderate on the U.S. EPA’s Air Quality Index. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible. Pollutant levels are NOT expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard and there is no Spare the Air Alert in effect.

The Air District is hosting a series of workshops to implement additional air monitoring in communities located near refineries. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Pedro Fire, east of Modesto, for Wednesday, July 31. Smoke from the Pedro Fire is expected to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area on Wednesday. Hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible at high elevations. Air quality is expected to be in the Moderate category on the Air Quality Index.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke from the Sites Fires, located in western Colusa County, through Wednesday, June 19. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke for tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17. Smoke from the Six Rivers Lightning Complex Fire in Humboldt and Trinity counties is expected to continue to impact the Bay Area tomorrow. Isolated pockets of elevated air pollution levels are possible; however, pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect for Wednesday and air quality is not expected to be unhealthy. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke may be present tomorrow. 

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke through Thursday, July 20. Smoke from the Flat Fire in southwestern Oregon continues to be transported into the Bay Area today and into the early evening. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible across the Bay Area and the smell of smoke is possible at higher elevations, especially in the East Bay, North Bay and Santa Clara Valley regions. Pollutant levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect.

Smoke from the Smith River Complex and other fires in Northern California is expected to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area on Friday, causing air quality to reach low-moderate on the U.S. EPA’s Air Quality Index. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible. Pollutant levels are NOT expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard and there is no Spare the Air Alert in effect.

Smoke from the Pedro Fire and other California wildfires is expected to continue to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area tomorrow. The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for the Novato area due to smoke from a fire at the Redwood Landfill. Smoke is drifting throughout the Novato area and will continue to impact the community until the fire is out and winds increase later this afternoon.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from fires around the Bay Area for Friday, October 18. Smoke from wildfires including the Keller Fire in the East Bay may impact air quality in parts of the Bay Area Friday. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict.

Smoke from wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington are expected to continue to impact the Bay Area tomorrow. Isolated pockets of elevated air pollution levels are possible; however, pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect and air quality is not expected to be unhealthy. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke may be present.

Smoke from wildfires in California and Oregon is expected to continue to impact the Bay Area through Saturday, but pollutant levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke may be present. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke through Thursday, August 31. A Spare the Air Alert is also in effect for today, Wednesday, August 30. Smoke from numerous fires in Northern California and Oregon is expected to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area through tomorrow, causing air quality to reach high-moderate on the U.S. EPA’s Air Quality Index. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible. Pollutant levels are NOT expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard and there is no Spare the Air Alert in effect for Thursday.
