Air District offers $11 million to reduce diesel engine pollutionThe Air District has opened the application period for the Carl Moyer grant program, to reduce ozone-forming and toxic air emissions from older heavy-polluting diesel equipment. Eligible diesel-powered equipment includes medium- and heavy-duty trucks, mobile agricultural and construction equipment, marine vessels, and locomotives.

Air District awards $5M to electrify special education school busesThe Bay Area Air District today announced $4,822,770 in funding to SAFETRANS Transportation Inc. to deploy electric school buses serving special education students across Santa Clara County. The grant will support the purchase of 14 zero-emission buses and 11 charging stations, helping to electrify transportation services for some of the region's most vulnerable students.

Air District awards $1.18 million to San Ramon Valley Unified School District for new EV school buses, charging infrastructureThe Air District has awarded $1.18 million grant to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District to replace seven older school buses, five compressed natural gas buses and two diesel buses with zero-emission electric buses and the charging infrastructure to support them. The project will also support the installation of eight DC fast chargers and related infrastructure.
