The Air District is issuing a Spare the Air Alert for Thursday, February 5, which bans burning wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel, both indoors and outdoors.

Due to continued smoke impacts in the Bay Area from the Camp Fire in Butte County, the Air District is extending the Winter Spare the Air Alert through Wednesday, November 21.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Pedro Fire and other wildfires through Thursday, August 1. Smoke from the Pedro Fire and other California wildfires is expected to continue to impact air quality throughout the Bay Area tomorrow. Hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible at high elevations. Air quality is expected to be in the Moderate category on the Air Quality Index.

Smoke from the Park Fire is expected to impact air quality in parts of the Bay Area today and tomorrow. Hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible at high elevations. Air quality is expected to remain in the Good to Moderate categories on the Air Quality Index.

As a reminder, due to heavy smoke in the Bay Area from the extensive Camp Fire in Butte County, the Air District has extended the Winter Spare the Air Alert through Friday, November 16.
