Air Quality Advisory
Smoke from the Marina Fire is expected to impact air quality in the East Bay on Sunday and Monday. Residents in affected areas should stay alert to news coverage and health warnings related to smoke. Check air quality at fire.airnow.gov and take steps to protect your health from smoke. Learn how at www.baaqmd.gov/wildfiresafety. Pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect.

Air District to host open houses for new draft refinery rulesThe Air District is hosting a series of open houses to discuss the agency’s four new and amended draft petroleum refinery emissions reduction rules. Open houses will be held in Martinez on Sept, 15, Benicia on Sept. 17, and Richmond on Sept. 28. The public comment period for the rules and amendments closes on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.

This open house will be held at Lincoln Elementary School in Richmond starting at 6pm. The public comment period for these rules and amendments closes on Friday, Oct. 2.
