Air Quality Advisory
Smoke from the Canadian wildfires is expected to impact air quality in the entire Bay Area on Wednesday and Thursday. Residents in affected areas should stay alert to news coverage and health warnings related to smoke. Check air quality at fire.airnow.gov and take steps to protect your health from smoke. Learn how at www.baaqmd.gov/wildfiresafety. Pollution levels are not expected to exceed the national 24-hour health standard. A Spare the Air Alert is not in effect.

Proposed 2017 Clean Air Plan Goes to BoardThe Air District's Board of Directors will consider the proposed 2017 Clean Air Plan – a call to action to Spare the Air and Cool the Climate (YouTube streaming video) - at their regularly scheduled board meeting on Wednesday, April 19, starting at 9:45 AM. The 2017 Plan aims to lead the region to a post-carbon economy, to continue progress toward attaining all state and federal air quality standards, and to eliminate health risk disparities from exposure to air pollution among Bay Area communities.
