Air District hosts workshops on draft emission reduction rules
The Air District invites Bay Area residents to four workshops where they can learn about and provide input on three draft regulations that would reduce toxic health risks, cap facility greenhouse gases, and cap the carbon intensity per barrel of crude oil processed at refineries.
Air District Proposes Changes to Particulate Matter Rule
The Air District is proposing amendments and additions to Regulation 6, which governs particulate matter emissions from various commercial and industrial operations. A series of open houses/workshops are being held from January 30 through February 8 to discuss these amendments.
Draft 2017 Clean Air Plan Now Available
The Air District has released for public review a new draft air quality plan – a call to action to Spare the Air and Cool the Climate (YouTube streaming video). The 2017 Plan aims to lead the region to a post-carbon economy, to continue progress toward attaining all state and federal air quality standards, and to eliminate health risk disparities from exposure to air pollution among Bay Area communities.
Consumption-Based Inventory: The Air District helped develop a consumption-based GHG inventory for the Bay Area.
Wood Smoke Amendments: The Air District passed amendments to the Wood Burning Regulation in 2015.
