Via Public Transit
  • Ferry: From the ferry terminal, take the 31 (Balboa) to Van Ness Ave & Eddy Street. District Offices are 1 block north at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.
  • Golden Gate Transit
  • San Francisco Muni: 42 (Downtown Loop) to Van Ness Ave & Eddy St, 47 (Van Ness) to Van Ness Ave & Eddy St, 49 (Van Ness/Mission) to Van Ness Ave & Eddy St, 31 (Balboa) to Van Ness & Eddy, 38 (Geary) to Van Ness Ave & Geary Blvd
Via Car
  • Take Highway 101 south, cross the Golden Gate Bridge, take the Lombard Street exit, stay on Lombard to Van Ness Ave, turn right and proceed south on Van Ness, turn right on Ellis Street.
East Bay (Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano Counties)
Via Public Transit
  • Ferry: From the ferry terminal, take the 31 (Balboa) to Van Ness Ave & Eddy Street. District Offices are 1 block north at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.
  • BART: The following BART stations provide easy access to the District Offices:
  • Disembark at the Civic Center Station (8th and Market Streets). District Offices are approximately 8 blocks northwest at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.
  • Disembark at the Montgomery Station (Montgomery & Market Street). Take one of the MUNI alternatives:
  • Take the #38 Geary to Van Ness Ave. District Offices are 2 blocks south at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.
  • Take the #31 Balboa to Van Ness Ave & Eddy Street. District Offices are 1 block north at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.

  • Cross the Bay Bridge westbound, stay in the right lanes to the Ninth Street-Civic Center exit, go one block on Harrison, then turn right on Ninth Street, stay in the left lanes, immediately after crossing Market Street veer left onto Hayes Street, turn right on Van Ness and proceed north to Ellis Street, turn left onto Ellis Street.

  • San Francisco International Airport Door-to-door shuttle services are available from the center island on the upper level in front of all terminals. Fare is approximately $10. Allow 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Oakland International Airport
    Take the Air Bart shuttle to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station. At BART, board the northbound train to San Francisco or Daly City. The following BART stations provide easy access to the District Offices (Allow 60 to 90 minutes):
  • Disembark at the Civic Center Station (8th and Market Streets). District Offices are approximately 8 blocks northwest at Van Ness Ave & Ellis Street.
  • Disembark at the Montgomery Station (Montgomery & Market Street). Take one of the MUNI alternatives:

Parking is available at the AMC Theater at 1000 Van Ness, enter via O'Farrell eastbound.
