Shuttles and Rideshare

Learn about grants to public agencies to reduce single-occupancy commuter vehicle trips in the region.

As part of the overall trip reduction strategy for the Bay Area, existing shuttle and feeder bus services and regional ridesharing services play a key role in helping the region attain clean air by eliminating motor vehicle trips.

The Air District supports this effort by providing funding through this program to existing shuttle and feeder bus services that link commuters with mass transit in areas where there are no other options, as well as to existing regional ridesharing services.

The FYE 2017 cycle opened on July 21, 2016, and applications will be accepted through Thursday, September 1, 2016. Board resolutions may be submitted after the application deadline, but no later than by September 22, 2016.

Up to $4 million is available for this program and funding will be awarded on a competitive basis. The maximum amount of TFCA funds that can be awarded to a public agency is $1.5 million per calendar year.
