Valero Refinery in Benicia notified the Air District of ongoing flaring due to a planned shutdown of refinery equipment. Air District inspectors will be closely monitoring. Report air quality complaints: 800-334-ODOR or online.
As part of the Air District's ongoing community outreach and civil rights compliance efforts, the agency has updated its Language Access Plan(2 Mb PDF, 45 pgs, posted 7/25/2024)
( Tagalog | tiếng Việt | Español | 中文 ). A public comment period for this document closed in 2023.
The Air District recognizes that to effectively engage the region's diverse population requires providing residents with meaningful access to services and with materials in languages other than English. To support this goal, the Air District maintains several practices to deliver multilingual services and materials for both the general public and the industry-specific populations that utilize its varied services.
To ensure accessibility for individuals with limited English proficiency, most of the pages on this website have been translated into the four most spoken languages in the Bay Area (other than English): Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Tagalog.
You can select one of the four available languages from the “Languages” drop-down menu located at the top left of each webpage, just below the browser’s address field. Note that some content - such as some table notations and linked documents (PDFs, Word files), or images with embedded text or captions – is not available in translation.
Members of the public are provided access to a language interpretation service in over 150 languages to assist individuals whose primary language is not English. Members of the public may request this service by calling the Air District’s general complaint line at 1-800-334-ODOR and following prompts or by specifying the preferred language after connecting with a Dispatcher.
If you need additional assistance or have any questions, please contact either the staff liaison for the project or meeting you plan to participate in, or contact the Air District's Non-Discrimination Coordinator.
