Serves high-risk asthma patients most impacted by traffic air pollution.

Services

Eligible asthma patients can receive the services listed below. In addition, the BAHHI program can work with the building owner to provide all services in the Residential Pathway.

  • Asthma education
  • Asthma trigger assessment
  • Free consumer supplies that help reduce asthma triggers, such as green cleaning supplies and HEPA vacuum cleaners
  • Home repairs that help reduce asthma triggers such as dust, insects, and mold

    Description
    Serves high-risk asthma patients most impacted by traffic air pollution.

    Services focused on improving patients' health outcomes by reducing their exposure to outdoor air pollution and providing in-home asthma services.

    This program aims to recruit 105 patients in overburdened communities within Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.

    All criteria must be met:
    Asthma Patient
    High-risk asthma patient (meet each county's eligibility criteria)
    Overburdened Communities
    Live in overburdened communities (CalEnviroScreen 4.0 top 30% scoring)
    Transportation Sources
    Live < 1,000 feet from major transportation sources
