Partners

The BAHHI program would not be possible without our implementation partners.

The Air District’s implementation partners for BAHHI include Contra Costa Health Services, Alameda County’s Asthma Start ProgramStopWaste, Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN), and the Association for Energy Affordability (AEA). Below are the roles of each partner in the program.

Contra Costa Health Services manages and coordinates the implementation of the BAHHI program, recruits eligible asthma patients, and leads the home asthma care, education, and trigger assessment visits in Contra Costa County.

Asthma Start manages and coordinates the implementation of the BAHHI program, recruits eligible asthma patients, and leads the home asthma care, education, and trigger assessment visits in Alameda County.

BayREN/StopWaste conduct outreach to recruit property owners of eligible residential buildings to participate in the Residential Pathway.

Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) leads home energy efficiency, environmental, and asthma trigger assessments for program participants in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. AEA determines and coordinates home retrofits needed to address relevant asthma triggers, to mitigate residents’ exposure to outdoor air pollution, and to increase energy efficiency of the home. AEA also leads research on nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, and GHG emissions reductions resulting from implementing these retrofits, in a selection of participating homes.
