Sejal Babaria

Sejal was born in Philadelphia and raised in South Jersey, but Oakland has been her home for almost a decade. She has over 10 years of mostly labor organizing experience, primarily with education unions, working with K-12 public sector educators. She has a deep passion for mentoring and coaching the next generation of organizers and young folks. She believes in the power of uniting and collective action and is committed to strengthening the organizing and education of her community. She hopes to use her organizing background to actively seek and support the voices most impacted by the Bay Area's long history of intentional exclusion and harm. Sejal works diligently to move with integrity and fierce advocacy.
