The Air District announced that Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., has agreed to pay $990,000 to settle air quality violations at its facility in Hercules.

Air quality is improving following today’s burn, and the Air District continues to monitor smoke across the region. Crews may remain on site tomorrow to extinguish remaining hot spots, but no additional prescribed burning is planned. Wednesday’s Spare the Air Alert is for ozone and is separate from today’s smoke impacts.
