On June 17, the Air District’s Board of Directors voted to adopt a resolution condemning racism and injustice and affirming the agency’s commitment to diversity, equity, access and inclusion.

Spare the Air Status

“The resolution supporting racial justice passed by the Air District’s Board of Directors formally recognizes our commitment to advance the cause of diversity and equity in our policies, programs, and practices,” said Jack Broadbent, executive officer of the Air District. “Racial discrimination is historically ingrained in American systems of government and every level of government has a role to play in breaking down barriers that reduce social, economic and political opportunities for people of color.”

The meeting agenda is available on the Air District's Board Agendas and Minutes web page.
