Fernando Campos
Fernando Campos is a Business Representative and the Political Director for LiUNA! Laborers 324. For over 20 years, he has served not only the men and women of LiUNA, but he has been a fierce advocate for all working-class people. He has collaborated with Bay Area Community Leaders, fellow Union Brothers and Sisters, Elected Leaders, and Affiliate Partners to provide opportunities and initiatives that are solely responsible for protecting workers rights, uplifting wages and working conditions, and even crafting language and helping implement legislation that ensures these rights are respected and intact.
Together they have also paved the way to not just creating thousands of jobs but putting in place true career pathways for thousands of people in the Bay Area, enhancing the quality of their lives, allowing them to earn a livable wage, and affording them not just benefits but giving each a bright future for themselves and their families.
Fernando is first generation, born in the United States. His parents immigrated from Peru to New York City in 1968 and relocated to California in 1978. He grew up in Hayward and is a Cal grad with a degree in Psychology. Currently, he resides in Concord with his wife and two children.
