Prescribed Burn Planned for Angel Island
The Air District is working closely with CAL FIRE + California State Parks on a prescribed burn planned for Angel Island mid-week to ensure ground-level smoke impacts are minimized as much as possible. Agencies will closely monitor conditions throughout the burn and will cease operations if conditions change or are no longer suitable.

Refinery Technical Working Group

To support ongoing and upcoming rule development on regulations affecting refinery sources, the Air District initiated the Refinery Technical Working Group (RTWG). The RTWG is composed of Air District staff, refinery representatives, community members, local government staff, advocacy group representatives, and other members to gather information and opinions from stakeholders on a variety of topics related to refinery rulemaking.
The Air District hosts RTWG meetings. Members of the public may attend the RTWG meetings virtually in listen-only mode via Zoom. A link to join the meetings virtually will be available in the "Meetings, Workshops, and Events" table below prior to the meetings.
