2024 Community Advisory Council Agendas

Due to the significant heat wave and energy shortages, Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed a state of emergency that allows the use of backup generators and similar backup power sources to reduce the strain on grid-based electrical power. The proclamation is in effect until 11:59 PM on August 20.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is advising Bay Area residents of the possibility that smoke from the wildfires around California may impact parts of Marin, Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. Air quality is forecast to be in the good or low moderate category and impacts are expected to be minor.

The Air District is advising Bay Area residents that smoke from the wildfires around California is impacting many parts of the region. Particulate pollution from the fires increased late Saturday, with high levels throughout much of the Bay Area Sunday morning. Particulate pollution levels are expected to remain elevated through today and may not ease until Monday.

The Air District is advising Bay Area residents that smoke from Northern California wildfires is blowing into the nine-county region today. Smoke impacts can be seen throughout the North and East Bay areas.
