The Air District is announcing the release of the draft health risk assessment for the AB&I Foundry, which is designed to identify and reduce health risks resulting from the facility’s emissions.

The Air District is hosting a joint virtual workshop with Communities for a Better Environment on Friday, May 7, 2021, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM to present, discuss, and receive comments on the draft health risk assessment for AB&I Foundry located in East Oakland.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke in Southern Solano, northern Contra Costa, and northwestern Alameda counties, specifically communities between I-80 and I-680 bridges (Martinez, Pacheco, Concord and Port Chicago), but with some impact possible southward to Oakland, due to a fire at Valero.
