Prescribed Burn Planned for Angel Island
The Air District is working closely with CAL FIRE + California State Parks on a prescribed burn planned for Angel Island mid-week to ensure ground-level smoke impacts are minimized as much as possible. Agencies will closely monitor conditions throughout the burn and will cease operations if conditions change or are no longer suitable.

Learn about free air quality compliance training and register for an upcoming class.
The Air District holds classes periodically to educate regulated industries about complying with air quality regulations. Participants receive:
- Compliance assistance tools and tips
- Hands-on training and exercises
- Facts about the effects of air pollution on public health
- Easy-to-understand materials about air quality regulations
- Sample recordkeeping logs, self-inspection booklets, and other useful handouts
These classes are free and held at convenient locations throughout the Bay Area. Foreign language translators can also be made available.
