Beginning December 7, 2021, the Air District’s Charge! program will begin accepting applications to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing and installing new publicly available electric vehicle charging stations throughout the region. The goal of the Charge! program is to help build a charging network able to support the Bay Area’s electric vehicle adoption goals of 90 percent of the overall vehicle fleet by 2050.

The Air District has awarded a loan guarantee to Zevvy, formerly Flux EV, an electric vehicle leasing solution with flexible lease agreements designed to save drivers in the Bay Area money on gas and maintenance costs by choosing an EV over a gas-powered vehicle.

The Air District has awarded $1.18 million grant to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District to replace seven older school buses, five compressed natural gas buses and two diesel buses with zero-emission electric buses and the charging infrastructure to support them. The project will also support the installation of eight DC fast chargers and related infrastructure.
