Learn about the Air District's Agricultural Waste Chipping Program.
The Agricultural Waste Chipping Program encourages qualifying agricultural operations located within the Air District’s nine Bay Area counties to apply for free chipping services provided by The Davey Tree Expert Company to dispose of agricultural waste material in lieu of open burning the material.
Chipping this material will eliminate unhealthy particulate matter emissions that would result if the material were burned.
The program will run from August 28, 2017, until December 31, 2018, or until funds are exhausted (whichever occurs first). The program budget is $150,000.
