Prescribed Burn Notice effective October 14, 2026
For more information about these prescribed burns, please visit the Prescribed Fire Information Reporting System or contact the representative for each prescribed burn. A prescribed burn may be canceled or rescheduled at any time for various reasons by the lead agency or land manager. A listed project or potential burn window does not mean ignition has been authorized; final decisions depend on conditions on the day of the burn.
Prescribed burns are only allowed under specific weather, air quality, and fuel conditions to limit smoke impacts on communities. When timed carefully to minimize those impacts, prescribed burns are an effective tool that can help reduce the risk of large, catastrophic wildfires, which have much greater impacts on air quality.
