Prescribed Burn Planned for Angel Island
The Air District is working closely with CAL FIRE + California State Parks on a prescribed burn planned for Angel Island mid-week to ensure ground-level smoke impacts are minimized as much as possible. Agencies will closely monitor conditions throughout the burn and will cease operations if conditions change or are no longer suitable.

Incidents and Advisories
Learn about air quality incidents in the Bay Area, and view advisories and preliminary incident reports.
Occasionally, a significant air pollution event occurs in the Bay Area. As soon as sufficient information is available, the Air District prepares an advisory or a preliminary incident report.
A preliminary incident report provides an early overview of the incident but is not a substitute for the in-depth investigation that follows. Incident reports in the table below are listed in chronological order.
The public can also sign up for Air Quality Incident Notifications for timely information about significant regional and local air quality incidents. Residents can sign up to register for emails and text alerts for incidents affecting specific counties or the entire Bay Area.
