The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke for Sunday, June 16, due to smoke from the Point Fire in northern Sonoma County.

The Air  District’s Community Advisory Council will hold its first meeting January 13 at 6 PM. In a historic moment, the Air District Board of Directors approved the formation of the Air District’s first Community Advisory Council on November 17, 2021. The Community Advisory Council will advise the Air District’s Board of Directors on environmental justice and equity-based policy and is the first body of its kind at the Bay Area Air District.

The Air District is lifting an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke that was originally scheduled to last through tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for smoke in Contra Costa and Solano counties due to a fire at MRC’s Martinez refinery.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory for wildfire smoke for Tuesday, June 18, due to smoke from the Point Fire in northern Sonoma County. A Spare the Air alert remains in effect for today, Monday, June 17.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to smoke from a structure fire in Redwood City for the afternoon of Monday, June 3. Localized smoke impacts are possible near and downwind of the construction facility including Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Santa Clara and into San Jose.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to smoke for Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26. Smoke from prescribed fires near Pescadero may impact air quality along the Peninsula – south of San Francisco and north of San Jose. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to smoke from the Crystal Fire in Napa County for today, Wednesday, June 5. Localized smoke impacts are possible near Angwin and may impact the Napa Valley from St. Helena to Calistoga. We will be closely monitoring air quality for smoke impacts from this incident.

The Air District is extending the air quality advisory for wildfire smoke through Saturday, July 20. Smoke from fires in Northern and Southern California is expected to impact the Bay Area through Saturday. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. The public can check for real-time smoke pollution levels in their local area with the U.S. EPA’s Fire and Smoke Map. 

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from wildfires in the western U.S and Canada for the rest of the day Thursday, August 8, and for Friday, August 9. An inversion layer combined with local pollution and residual smoke from fires in the western U.S. and Canada is impacting air quality in the Bay Area. As onshore winds increase this afternoon and Friday, air quality is expected to be Good to Moderate on the Air Quality Index.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Park Fire in Northern California for today, Sunday, July 28, and tomorrow, Monday, July 29. Smoke from the Park Fire is expected to impact air quality in parts of the Bay Area today and tomorrow. Hazy skies may be visible and the smell of smoke is possible at high elevations. Air quality is expected to remain in the Good to Moderate categories on the Air Quality Index.

Smoke from the Pickett Fire in Napa County is expected to impact Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties through Monday. The public can check for real-time smoke pollution levels in their local area with the U.S. EPA’s Fire and Smoke Map. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible, and the smell of smoke is possible.

The Air District is extending an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Pickett Fire through Wednesday, August 27. Smoke from the Pickett Fire in Napa County is expected to impact Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties through Wednesday. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. The public can check for real-time smoke pollution levels in their local area with the U.S. EPA’s Fire and Smoke Map. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible, and the smell of smoke is possible.

The Air District is issuing an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke from the Gifford Fire in the Bay Area for today, August 12. Smoke from the Gifford Fire in Central California is expected to move over the Bay Area on Tuesday. Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. The public can check for real-time smoke pollution levels in their local area with the U.S. EPA’s Fire and Smoke Map. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible, and the smell of smoke is possible, especially at higher elevations,  on Tuesday.
