燒烤爐會產生揮發性有機化合物 (VOC) 及顆粒物 (PM) 等空氣污染物。VOC 與大氣層中的其他化合物發生反應，形成地表臭氧，通常成為煙霧。直徑等於或小於 10 微米的細顆粒稱為 PM10，可穿過通風系統，進入到大氣中。
