Today the Air District's Board of Directors unanimously adopted Regulation 11-18, Reduction of Risk from Air Toxic Emissions at Existing Facilities, considered to be the most health-protective toxic air pollution risk control measure in the nation.

The Clean Air Center Program provides funding for county agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area to create a network of clean air centers to mitigate the adverse public health impacts due to wildfires and other smoke events.

The Air District is announcing the availability of $1.5 million through Cycle 2 of the James Cary Smith Community Grant Program for community groups, neighborhood associations, and nonprofits to participate in decisions that impact their environment and health.
