Jack Broadbent, executive officer of the Air District, has issued a statement in support of the State of California’s decision to sue the Trump Administration over their plans to roll back auto emissions standards.
“The Bay Area Air District strongly supports the State of California’s lawsuit against the Trump Administration’s misguided efforts to roll back vehicle emissions standards. The stakes are too high for California to back down. Californians have benefited from decades of hard-fought economic, health and environmental progress gained through achievable emissions standards. The Trump Administration is moving in the wrong direction and we must not waiver in our fight for tougher emissions standards and cleaner air for the health of Bay Area residents. We must set the bar higher and not settle for anything less.”
