The Air District is extending the air quality advisory for potential smoke in parts of the Bay Area through Sunday, October 21.

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is issuing an air quality advisory for Sunday, September 20, and Monday, September 21, due to possible smoke impacts from wildfires.

The Air District has made the draft 2017 Clean Air Plan, Spare the Air, Cool the Climate, available online, on Open Air Forum for comment through March 9.

The Air District Board today confirmed the appointment of Dr. Philip Fine, an internationally recognized expert in air quality science and policy, as the new executive officer, effective February 21.
