Today the Air District's Board of Directors unanimously adopted Regulation 11-18, Reduction of Risk from Air Toxic Emissions at Existing Facilities, considered to be the most health-protective toxic air pollution risk control measure in the nation.

The Air District is announcing the availability of $1.5 million through Cycle 2 of the James Cary Smith Community Grant Program for community groups, neighborhood associations, and nonprofits to participate in decisions that impact their environment and health. 

The Clean Air Center Program provides funding for county agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area to create a network of clean air centers to mitigate the adverse public health impacts due to wildfires and other smoke events.
