Learn about the Air District's development process for Regulation 13, Rule 2, which would reduce emissions of methane and volatile organic compounds from organic material handling in the Bay Area.

On May 2, the Air District is launching the 2016 Spare the Air season, which focuses on reducing ozone, or smog-forming pollution during the warmer summer months. The Spare the Air program encourages Bay Area residents to reduce air pollution every day by rethinking their commute and avoiding driving alone.

The Air District will host an in-person conversation with Air District Board Chair Davina Hurt on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 12 noon – 1 PM at the East Palo Alto Community Room in the East Palo Alto Public Library. The conversation will focus on community questions and concerns regarding air quality issues and climate change. 

Air Currents is a newsletter published by the BAAQMD's Outreach & Incentives Division. It covers Air District activities as well as other air quality issues of interest to industry, government agencies, and the general public.
