The Air District is advising Bay Area residents that smoke from the wildfires around California is impacting many parts of the region. Particulate pollution from the fires increased late Saturday, with high levels throughout much of the Bay Area Sunday morning. The Air District has opened registration for businesses from across the region to compete in the Great Race for Clean Air, a friendly competition that encourages employees to carpool, vanpool, walk, bike or ride transit to work, instead of driving alone.
