Năm 1998, Hội Đồng Tài Nguyên Không Khí California (CARB) xác định chất diesel dạng hạt (PM) là một chất lan nhiễm không khí độc hại (TAC). The  Air District has opened the application period for the Carl Moyer grant program, to reduce ozone-forming and toxic air emissions from older heavy-polluting diesel equipment. Eligible diesel-powered equipment includes medium- and heavy-duty trucks, mobile agricultural and construction equipment, marine vessels, and locomotives.

The Air District will host a signing ceremony for mayors, city and county government officials, and leaders of industry and business from all over the world who commit to going diesel free by signing the Statement of Purpose to cut diesel use to zero by 2033.

The Air District announced today that it will request that the agency’s independent Hearing Board issue an abatement order to shut down nine diesel generators at the Green Sage cannabis facilities in East Oakland.
