The District is the lead agency in preparing an environmental document for the Bay Area 2010 Clean Air Plan pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
In addition, although not required by State law, the Air District is developing a socioeconomic analysis (SEA) to assess the costs and benefits of the proposed control measures in the 2010 CAP and their potential impact on the regional economy. The purpose of the SEA is to help policy-makers, the regulated community, and the public better understand the potential costs and benefits related to implementation of the control strategy defined in the CAP.
