Greenhouse Gas Credits

The California Air Pollution Control Officers Association’s Greenhouse Gas Exchange provides a reliable source of local, high quality greenhouse gas emissions reduction credits. Credits can be used to meet California Environmental Quality Act or other compliance requirements.

Climate Action Web Portal

Developed by the Air District and Institute for Local Government, the Climate Action Web Portal is a clearinghouse for local governments to access climate action tools and resources. The portal features climate action best practices, case studies, and news and events from Bay Area governments.

Marin Carbon Project

Created in response to the rapid pace of global climate change, the Marin Carbon Project aims to increase carbon isolation in rangeland, agricultural, and forest soils. For example, Project researchers determined that a thin layer of compost on grazed rangelands can significantly increase plant growth, water retention in the soil, and carbon isolation in soil.

Protect Your Climate Curriculum

The Air District has designed and piloted the first comprehensive climate change curriculum in California. Designed for 4th and 5th grade students, Protect Your Climate includes 16 lessons that focus on air pollution, energy, waste reduction, and transportation. The curriculum is available to download at no cost.
