Dr. Garima Raheja is a Technical Program Manager for Clean Energy Instruments at Google, where she works on achieving Google's ambitious 24/7 carbon-free energy goals by 2030. Previously, she completed her PhD at Columbia University in New York City, where her dissertation focused on low-cost sensors, tools and algorithms for measuring air and soil pollution. She also worked at The White House under the Biden Administration. In 2025, she was named one of the world's top 30 PhDs in climate by the Inflection Award sponsored by Breakthrough Energy and the Grantham Foundation. She has represented the United States in climate diplomacy efforts with Japan and South Korea, and has led 50+ workshops and talks in English, French and Hindi in India, Thailand, France, Germany, Ghana, Togo, Rwanda, and more. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and a BA in Data Science, with an emphasis on Sustainable Development and Engineering. 
 
Dr. Raheja currently serves as the US State Department Air Quality Fellow, American Geophysical Union Community Science Fellow, and Data for Progress Fellow. Previously, Garima has worked with NASA, NOAA, the University of Washington, the University of Hawaii, UC San Diego, the Exploratorium Science Museum, Code for America, Maui Nui Botanical Gardens, and led 100+ consultants in the Bay Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network on 20+ social and environmental responsibility projects. She is a recipient of the prestigious Columbia University Dean’s Fellowship, the Devon T. Wade Mentorship, Service and Advocacy Award, Women in Science Incentive Prize, NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, Health Effects Institute Jane Warren Award, UC Berkeley Regents’ and Chancellors’ Scholarship, the Koret Research Scholarship, and a four-time recipient of the Cal Alumni Leadership Award. Her work has been featured recently at the National Academies of Science, CNN, ABC, NBC, Grist and more.
