Learn about the Air District’s Engineering Program Manager pilot program and eligibility for participation.
The Engineering Program Manager pilot program is designed to address challenges that may arise in complex permitting, resolving bottlenecks and improving process efficiency, transparency, and predictability, for the benefit of all permit applicants.
Engineering Program Managers can provide pre-application guidance to help facilities understand what is needed for a complete application. EPMs can also help permit applicants navigate each step of the permitting process, provide technical expertise, and support timely and responsive communications between permit applicants, the Air District, and local communities.
The voluntary, facility-funded three-year pilot program is open to facilities with complex permit applications. Selection will be based on established eligibility criteria, such as project complexity, overdue permits, and resource availability.
