Registration for Graphic Arts Operations

On November 19, 2008, the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District adopted Regulation 8, Rule 20, Section 408: Registration for Small Facilities. All facilities that contain graphic arts operations that are subject to this administrative requirement must register their operation with the BAAQMD and pay applicable fees.

REGISTRATION SYSTEM DOWN
New registrations and renewals are currently unavailable as the Air District transitions to a new online permitting system.

We estimate that the new system will be available in February 2017.

New Registrations

If you need to register new equipment, please email us at stating what type of equipment you wish to register. We will contact you when the new system is ready to use.

New equipment requiring registration may be installed and operated provided that:

  • We are notified of new equipment per the above; AND
  • The equipment is registered no later than 60 days after you have been invited to use the new system.

Renewals

For existing registrations that have expired, when the new system is ready to use, the Air District will be sending you an invitation to create an account in the new system. Once you have created your account, you will be sent a registration renewal invoice which may be paid online.

We will not take enforcement action on expired registrations during this period.
